Whether you dream of playing Chopin or Taylor Swift, Lydia Kim Music will help you become the pianist and musician you want to be. We will help you grow in the fundamentals of technique, theory and sight reading, as well as incorporate your favourite songs into your lessons! You do not need an acoustic piano at home to take lessons; all you need to start is a full-sized electric keyboard.

Our pricing is $45/ 30 minutes, $65/ 45 minutes and $85/ 60 minutes.

Lydia is friendly and personable and takes the time to build personal connections with every student and parent. She tailors lesson plans to suit each student's distinct preferences and musical interests. No matter your experience on the piano, Lydia will share her love for music and will help you in setting and achieving your musical goals.

Lydia has been studying and playing the piano for almost 20 years.
She completed her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Toronto. Prior to this achievement, she completed her Honours Bachelor of Music degree at Wilfrid Laurier University.
With over 10 years of teaching expertise, Lydia has collaborated with more than 100 students of various ages and proficiency levels. In addition to her extensive teaching background, Lydia brings in over 10 years of performance experience, showcasing her talents at over 100 events.

Lydia has experience teaching with a variety of curriculums with her students, including but not limited to the RCM series, Faber Piano Adventures, Piano Safari and Alfred.

No. Beginners are always welcome!

No, you do not need an acoustic piano to take lessons. A full-sized electronic keyboard is sufficient when you get started. We recommend keyboards with weighted keys.

Yes! Every January and June our students have the opportunity to share their hard work with their family and friends. We do not charge a fee to perform. Admission is also free so we encourage performers to invite as many people as they can!
